This 90 minute workshop will help you to understand the underlying reasons for your child’s fussy eating habits. We will explore the behavioural, sensory and developmental causes of fussy eating, and different approaches to address these. We will consider how to best ensure your child gets the nutrition that they need, and consider when fussy eating is a cause for genuine clinical concern.
The small group format provides the opportunity to ask plenty of questions, and all of the information discussed is supported with handouts to take away.
This workshop always gets terrific feedback from attendees who love the non-judgemental approach and evidence-based ideas tailored to their child’s needs.
With 13 years experience as a registered dietitian, and a mum of 2 small children herself, Carly Atkinson, who recently appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live discussing childrens’ sugar intakes, was keen to develop something for parents struggling with this difficult phase of parenting, and help prevent mealtimes becoming a battleground, or negative eating habits becoming a way of life.
The workshop is suitable for those with children aged 1-5 years of age. It is suggested you do not bring your child along as there is lots of information to take on board and they are likely to be pretty distracting for you!
Workshops are a maximum of 8 people and the price of £19.50 includes a hot drink and plenty of evidence-based information to take home.
Before purchasing a ticket for this event please ensure you have read and accept the Terms and Conditions for this event.
Please note that partners are very much encouraged to attend as a consistant approach to mealtimes is key, and pay a concessionary rate of £5.50 which includes a hot drink.
